Sari SkirtsShow up with a pile of fabric; walk away with a completed costume piece and be proud to say, “I made this!” This Crafternoon will focus on Sari Split Skirts. We will be re-purposing beautiful vintage sequin saris to make a versatile over-skirt which will add variety, color, and sparkle to your tribal bellydance costume ensembles. Worn over pantaloons or our beloved fluffy skirts, these skirts are perfect for different luscious looks for stage and studio alike. This versatile style is great for fusion bellydance costuming and cabaret bellydance costuming as well!

Participants will work collaboratively, pooling our skills to measure, cut, sew, and finish each piece so everyone walks away with a lovely new skirt. The fitting and sewing techniques employed will be incredibly simple, so it’s a great way for bare beginner sewers and crafters to dip their toes in the costuming waters.

Registration includes a pre-workshop shopping guide, three hours of hands-on guidance from a costuming professional, printed instructions for future reference, and elastic. Limit 12 participants. REGISTER NOW
